In life, it's not neccessary to know everything that boosts your knowledge. Instead, learning how to survive is a must. Only by surviving could you then lead others and teach them the importance of learning to survive.
The Importance of SurvivingJim is a young boy who lives in a poor village in Vietnam. He has lost his parents since young and lives with his grandmother. Jim's grandma is a person of great knowledge and teaches him of important skills. At 8, Jim decided to work as a boatman and row the tourists to the destination they want. After an incident that happened, he finally realised the importance of knowing surviving skills.
One day, an old english man came aboard the boat and told Jim the location. As Jim rowed on, the english man pointed at a passing deer and asked the boy if he knew anything about biology. " No, i don't sorry," the boy replied. The english man then said "Son, you have missed out 25% of your life."
Soon after, the english man pointed towards the sky and asked Jim if he knew anything about horoscope. Jim sheepishly replied, "No i don't, sir." The english man then said "Son, you have missed out 50% of your life."
Jim felt very disappointed with himself. His face became sulled. The english man noticed it and asked if he knew anything about psychology. Jim, head facing down, embarassedly admitted, "No, i don't sir." The english man then scolded, "Boy! You have missed out 75% of your life!"
Just then, Jim noticed the waterfall upfront and immediately asked "Sir, do you know how to swim?!" The english man replied "No," to which Jim shouted back, "You just lost your life."
